Words and their power are demonstrated best in the form of speeches. The orator’s ability to deliver the “proper words at the appropriate time”, can stir the emotions of the audience. These emotions can then transcend into actions. What is the true power of words? Weather spoken to an audience or oneself, the path of proper communication must be achieved.
Communication can be used to persuade, inform, comfort and lead to action. The speakers ability to generate an emotional response in his audience, then move that audience to action is the art of the sale. The speaker, who has a defined reason to talk, can with targeted phrases, grab the attention of his audience, describe their problem and pain, then introduce his solution in such a way, that its value will generate an action. This works for a sales pitch, political speech or sermon.
The true power behind words lies in their meaning to the person who hears them. Far more than simple conversation, words have the power to manipulate a person’s thinking and thus their behavior. It is the audience’s interpretation of the meaning of what they hear, that causes their emotional reaction. A good speaker can read his audience’s response and than alter his delivery to guide them in the direction he wants.
When you communicate with yourself during self analysis or self introspection, the expressions that you chose to use shapes your inner environment. It is of utmost importance to use words selectively and appropriately at all times weather with yourself or others. Consider that words affect your emotions and emotions affect your health. There is a positive effect when one uses prayer and affirmations. The use of prayer and affirmations creates a positive and better you. Use them to guide you to your goals, create your mood and prepare for that days decisions.
